A non-stock, non-profit, non-governmental, exempt corporation

    Potential contributors should take note of the fact that Portcullis Limited will not require a long-term commitment by donors, for unlike most charitable and educational organisations whose causes require them to be forever beholden to the public, we will be able to earn our own way into the 21st century with proceeds generated by visits to Fort George. If you help us get the place open, we can do the rest.

    As with any publicly-supported organisation which is exempt under sections 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(2) of the US Internal Revenue Code, citizens of the United States who wish to make gifts, grants or contributions to support Portcullis Limited and its mission to promote sustainable economic development in emerging nations, so that they can make their own way in the world, can deduct contributions as provided in section 170 of the Internal Revenue code. Bequests, legacies, devises, transfers and gifts to Portcullis Limited or intended for our use are deductible by US citizens for Federal estate and gift tax purposes if they meet the applicable provisions of sections 2055, 2106 and 2522 of the Code. Your attorney or accountant can advise you further. Citizen of other nations, especially France and Great Britain, who built and occupied the fort, are also encouraged to contribute.

    Potential donors should also know that while we have suggested levels of giving, US$35 for individuals, US$50 for families and US$2000 in the case of corporations organized for profit, etc., any amount of gift is both welcome and deductible, as above.

    In addition to smaller gifts suggested above and further enumerated on our CONTACT US page, we would be pleased to entertain suggestions by individuals, groups of individuals, corporate entities or foundations who wish to have naming rights for their help in preserving various sections of the fort. A partial list of suggested levels is available. Signage reflecting your generosity will be permanent as your gift toward the preservation of the various structures which make up the fort will likely last, with care and maintenance, for another 300 years.

    ALL DONORS, LARGE AND SMALL, WILL BE RECOGNISED ON A ROLL OF HONOUR WHICH WILL BE PERMANENTLY DISPLAYED AT FORT GEORGE, GRENADA, WEST INDIES.
